Gabriel Almagro is a Spanish actor and performer. He holds a MA degree in Acting with Teatr Pieśń Kozła in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University and a BA in Acting with Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Murcia. He has recently become a member of Studio Matejka, a physical theater laboratory. He has taught movement and physical theatre at the Central University of Ecuador, in their first MA in acting. Gabriel was movement director of Gemma climb her mountain, a theatre piece about M.E Illness and granted by Arts Council England. He has collaborated with Grotowski Institute in Wroclaw, Poland, within Studio Kalari,
Body Constitution and Dynamics of Metamorphosis. In 2013 he devised and developed his own solo performance, Antes de Ayer, and performed it internationally. Gabriel was founding member of Jubilo Project since its beginning in
November 2012 until 2015. He has trained with other leading physical performance practitioners including Thomas Richard (The Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards), Gabriel Gawin, Ian Morgan or OBRA Theatre Company.
